Sage, Rubbed

Sage (Botanical Name: Salva Officinalis) originates from the Mediterranean and has a long history of use. While its medicinal properties were once prized above its taste, Sage has been relied upon for healing and divination by Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Native Americans. To this day, Sage Tea remains a popular drink in Greece. This versatile herb also adds flavor to meat dishes like sausage, veal, casseroles, and turkey stuffing, and can even bring a little extra yumminess to roasted potatoes and broiled vegetables like eggplant and mushrooms.
